Respected Sir,

Sub: Treatment of period of absence and drawal of salary /wages.

DOPT and Directorate has issued instructions to make payment of salary and wages to all employees, GDS, Casual laborers for the period of lockdown. But at lower level officers are violating these instructions. The GDS Paid substitutes working for short term in Postman and MTS Posts are not paid last month's salary.

You are, therefore, requested to kindly .cause suitable instructions to all concerned not to deduct salary of any class of employees for this period. The period of absence should be decided either as duty or grant of Special leave as per instructions issued by DOPT.
