 Explain that the Pay Commission had recommended to the government to increase the salary of central employees.  The salary of employees will be increased by 2.57 percent.  Along with the increase in minimum salary, the government can also approve the decision to increase the pending DA from July.  Central employees are also expected to increase their DA before the festive season begins.  Often, after the state governments increase the DA of their employees, there is a lot of pressure on the central government to also increase the DA of its employees.

 According to the report, the arrears of three months of the central employees can also be paid with the September salary.  Central employees are expecting the government to increase their DA by 5 percent.  This decision of the central government will directly benefit 2.5 lakh employees.  At present, central employees get 144 percent DA of basic salary, which will be 149 percent after the government order.
